Pond Life, May 2006

After a week of nonstop rain, I had to get outside and use my camera somewhere, so I strolled around a pond here in Boston.

	This Baltimore Oriole immediately taught me that you need a telephoto lens to get good close-ups of birds, but I think all the leaves make for an OK shot too.
	This swan's nest was abandoned. Perhaps it had been flooded during the recent rains.
